Construction elements, street furniture, micro-architectures and symbols are negotiated between architecture and model and form the basis of the constantly changing constellations of the modular landscapes by Hauck and Plümpe. The mobility of the sculptural modules and objects creates spaces of opportunity and play areas in which the artists communicate by constantly shifting the elements. Perception, power and staging of architecture and public space, dysfunction, dummy and sculptural practice are dynamically negotiated and released into new orders.
Space, the environment and the viewer are integrated into artistic practice and find themselves in the field of tension between pragmatic and artistic perception.
To date, the collection of the ongoing modular system by the two sculptors Hauck & Plümpe comprises 50 modules and objects.
Alice Hauck and Amelie Plümpe studied at the Berlin University of the Arts with Prof. Karsten Konrad and graduated with honors as a master class student in July 2021.
Both live and work in Berlin.
Different constellations will be on view over the duration of the exhibition.
